VOICE OF THE METHOD | The Three Circles
EDITORIAL
Dear Friends of the Academy,
It is with great pride that we present the very first issue of our Newsletter. It arrives at a special moment: we have just completed our first Foundations cycle, a journey that exceeded every expectation and confirmed that the vision behind the Academy — building the world's first international training platform and the first practice community with professional recognitions in Italic identity tourism and genealogy — answers a real and deeply felt need around the world.
This Newsletter will be our quarterly meeting point: we will share the concrete journey of the Metodo Rooting®, give voice to our Heritage Ambassadors, share scientific results, and outline the next steps of a project that grows alongside a global community of over 250 million italici nel mondo.
Enjoy the read, and welcome to this journey back to your roots.

FIRST SEEDS
The first Italian-language Foundations cycle concluded with results confirming the strength of our training model: Module 1 (June 16-19) and Module 2 (June 23-26) engaged professionals from 11 countries and 4 continents, with a 100% intention to continue the pathway.
The programme now moves toward Module 3 (Application), dedicated to tourism operators and entrepreneurs, and Module 4, the FAIG Genealogy School, dedicated to the scientific deepening of genealogical research under the guidance of President Pier Felice degli Uberti.
An experience of connection with the land, its spirituality, and the community that preserves it.
Guided and welcomed by Rooting Guide Marta Cannizzo, she experienced Enna not as a simple visitor, but as a rootist and a pilgrim.
AMBASSADOR SPOTLIGHT
At the heart of the Metodo Rooting® lies a simple but powerful principle: there is no single way of being Italic in the world. This is why we developed a three-circle segmentation model that guides every one of our training and communication activities. Italodiscendenti are those who carry Italian roots in their family history, often several generations removed, and who seek to reconstruct and understand their origin. Italofoni are communities around the world who speak and live the Italian language as part of their daily life or education. Italofili, finally, are those who, without direct blood or linguistic ties, hold an authentic passion for Italian culture, territory, and way of life.
Understanding which circle each person we meet belongs to — client, course participant, or community member — is the first step toward offering a truly tailored Italic identity tourism experience.
DALLA RETE GIHA | Premio Italic Heritage
Heritage Ambassadors are professionals and active members of the Academy of Italian Heritage and Travel Community who, within their respective countries and regions, promote the value of Italian heritage and the Rooting approach. Through their commitment, they foster meaningful connections between people, communities, and institutions, building tangible bridges with Italy while creating new opportunities for collaboration, education, and international development.
On July 3rd, the inaugural Premio Italic Heritage award ceremony was held in Enna, honouring Lisa Ray. New projects are also getting underway, designed for the new generations of italici nel mondo: an active digital construction site, not just a project on paper.

Not all italici nel mondo share the same relationship with Italy. Our task is to recognize this, not to flatten it.
